On November 1st – the Day of the National Revival Leaders – the director and founder of Ballet Studio “Pirouette,” Asya Eneva was recognized as a Champion of the Arts in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The event was organized by the Bulgarian community in Dubai and brought together dozens of compatriots united by the idea of honoring the work of modern-day revival leaders – those who preserve the Bulgarian spirit, culture, and education wherever they may be around the world.
The event was also attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria in the UAE, Mr. Stanislav Dimitrov,who expressed his appreciation for the Bulgarian teachers and artists in the Emirates dedicated to preserving our cultural identity and passing on knowledge and traditions to young Bulgarians abroad. Among them was Asya Eneva – an educator and inspirer, who created the first and only Bulgarian ballet studio in the UAE..
As part of the celebration, Ballet Studio “Pirouette” participated with a dance performance. On stage, Mira Petkova – the only Bulgarian student in the Dubai branch of the studio – captivated the audience with a performance of the “Little Swan” variation set to Tchaikovsky’s music from the ballet Swan Lake..
This recognition is not only for Asya Eneva’s personal contribution to the development of ballet art, but also for the mission of Ballet Studio “Pirouette” – to inspire, educate, and connect children with the beauty of dance and Bulgarian culture, no matter where they are in the world.
